- Lovely print, fit... not so much.
- I ordered the floral print in August and after 2 months of waiting (which, really I wasn't bothered by -- I love to support small businesses), I got them this weekend. The print is pretty stunning, maybe one of my favorite prints ever in a legging. But the fit on me is really not great. I ordered Iris and I'm an 18/20. The leggings gape behind the knees and are way too loose down to the ankle. I do have this issue on several pairs of leggings I own, so it may just be that it's a me problem. But the waist... I may be one of the only fat women on the planet who HATES elastic, but I am so annoyed and uncomfortable in elastic waists. The fabric on this legging's waist encloses a 1 or 1.5 inch elastic piece that is sewed into the top seam of the waist. I can tolerate a very thin elastic band (like in Old Navy Compression leggings), but anything more than that, and I am just miserable. My ideal waist (still looking for it, designers!) is a lightly compressive no-elastic waist that can be tucked into my bra band, all the way around, back to front. Kind of like maternity bottoms, but even higher, so that they can, as I said, just be tucked under my bra band. This would prevent all the issues I have with most leggings/pants in general--discomfort from elastic digging into flesh, a smooth line from hip to bra, roll down at the waist. Alas, this is not the legging for me. I will say that these leggings are high waisted enough not to create mad crazy muffin top, so I'd say if you don't mind elastic waists, and you don't have the loose knee/ankle legging issue I have, these could work wonderfully for you.
